Happy Birthday to Jason

Happy Birthday Jason - we love you!

My brother and his girls came down this weekend and we had a great time. Jason's birthday is today so we were able to celebrate the big 35. My mom bought us tickets for the circus on Saturday which the girls enjoyed. Afterwards, they all got dressed up in their princess gear and we headed out to the car show for an hour or so. The car show is literally 2 miles from my house. It's every Saturday night and if watching the people that attend the show isn't exciting enough, the cars aren't too bad themselves.

I suppose when Dan finally gets his 54 Chevy in 1 piece again we'll be driving it up there every Saturday night. BTW - it's almost finished. Dan has picked out the paint color and he seems to think it will be all finished in a couple months. I can't wait to post a picture - Dan has put so much time and hard work into his truck. It will be awesome to finally take a ride in it.

Tonight's Prayer

Ok, so tonight was just precious.. Claire thanked God for "giving Mamo a heart inside her body to keep her alive" and also thanked God for "Giving Nana and Pappa a house in Huntsville for them to live and a bed to sleep in."

I just want to memorize those sweet little moments... I have recently been explaining to Claire the difference between a heart (you know the kind kids like to draw) and a heart inside your body. I've been explaining how the heart is crucial to pumping blood throughout your body. Is this too deep for an almost 5 year old? She asks so I try to keep it simple but you can tell she really thinks about it all.

Happy Belated 4th!

We had a good 4th of July weekend. Dan took the girls on their 1st parade here in the subdivision. I couldn't believe how good they did with training wheels on. Claire has been saying ever since "Momma, I was goin 90 to nutten!" She really was trucking it. Here are the girls at the beginning...

Here's the funny part when they were almost done... you must click to enlarge the picture. Dan thought they were getting too much sun so he made them finish it out in the back of the trailer. They were not happy they didn't get to finish the ride home.

After the parade, we went to a neighbors party and swam. It was so much fun, but I drank too many margaritas. That always happens when there is a margarita machine in the picture. I seem to quit counting. Later that evening when the girls and Dan were popping fireworks, one of our neighbors across the street asked Dan where I was. Claire responded for him with "mommie had a bad margarita!"

Why do they have to be so honest? :)

Matching Swim Suits

I can't help but post this adorable picture with their matching swim suits.

And Claire wiped out again after swimming - same spot on the couch watching what else of course... SpongeBob!

Homeade Popsicles

Wow! I love this. So few ingredients and looks so easy.

Now, I'm on the hunt for some popsicle molds. I am forever standing in the frozen section of the grocery store reading the ingredient list on the back of the popsicle packages and the list goes on and on and on...
