Happy Birthday Emm (with Juicy Kisses)

Yesterday was Emma's 2nd birthday. It's so cute, she says "I'm 2!" Real fast and quick. She can't hold up 2 fingers so she just throws her hand in the air. We have a tradition on birthdays where I wake the girls up and we all jump in mommie and daddies big bed, eat cup cakes and drink sprite for breakfast. OMG - it is always a huge mess with icing everywhere. I throw down a sheet on top of my bed linens but for the past few years something (this year it was my Diet DP) spills and leaks through so I end up having to wash all the sheets on the bed too. It's great fun though and they get so excited.

Yesterday was also my dad's birthday. How awesome is it that they were born on the same day? So, we celebrate Pappa in Heaven and Emmie at the same time. Since my dad loved Seafood, Dan had the great idea to go to Pappadeux (we don't ever go otherwise). And, in memory of him I had yummy fried shrimp and oysters which is what he always ordered. Nana, Pappa and Mamo joined us and we had a great night. We have this sort of gross but at the same time very adorable way we give each other kisses. Sorry for the x-rated pics, but we say "give me juicy kisses" and the kids will stick out their tongues and french us! :) Each one does it a bit different. Meggie has this itty bitty tongue and it's a very petite kiss. Emma goes out all though! She can tongue!!! And Claire is somewhere in the middle.

After Pappadeux, mom and I headed over to Dillards. My wonderful hubby took all 3 kids home and put them to bed. Of course, I can't miss Dillards when they have 75% off plus an additional 30%! :)

Daddy's Truck

The girls love to be outside in the front yard when daddy gets home from work. They jump on the side rails of his truck and ride with him up the driveway.... not very long but they love it anyhow!!!

I think I've mentioned before that when Daddy gets home, Meggie hardly wants anything to do with me. And, I can see it in her face... here's proof. Daddy pulls up and Meg gives me the stare... my daddy!

Making the Chee Chee's Grow

Claire said the cutest thing last night in the bath. She had a cup filled with water and I noticed she was pouring it on her Chee Chee's (thanks to Sandy our word for boobies...). Then she said "I'm pouring water on my boobies to make them grow." Ha! So cute... just like plants... she's watering them to make them grow.

Happy Valentine's Day

Dan suprised the girls last night by coming home and suggesting we go to Chuck E Cheese.... It's funny, I was just telling someone the other day that Dan would never take the girls to Chuck E Cheese. That is just not his style.... He always suprises me though and has slipped into this whole fathering of 3 girls so flawlessly. The girls were sooooooo excited, but decided they wanted to go to Itz... has anyone else gone to this place? We've been once before but it has actually improved and the girls had such a great time. They have much more to do for the kids as opposed to Chuck E Cheese - especially more rides. It's much more expensive which is the downside. We would have spent 70 bucks for all of us, but of course I had 2 coupons which gave us a 30 dollar discount. So, I thought 40 bucks was pretty good for all the fun we had.

Emma rode her first roller coaster and was scared at times but said she loved it! I was pretty impressed and thought she would be a bit more scared than she actually was. Dan was impressed with not only the huge buffet, but the fact that they sold beer. So many things to do for the kiddos and we didn't even get to half of it.

Iberostar Grand Paraiso - only 3 months away!!!

Dan and I have never been on a vacation for just ourselves. Not even a honeymoon.... I'm not complaining though because we've certainly had some fun over the last few years. We've been to Los Cabos for our friend Barry's 40th birthday, Lynn's wedding in St. Lucia, Italy with my dad and San Jose for Barry's wedding. However; I am so thrilled to say that we have booked a trip to Mexico. I picked out the place and we have no plans other than to chill out at this all inclusive resort for a whole 3 nights! Yeah - that's the longest I could get Dan to break away. But, I am so excited. Our 5 year anniversary is March 15 so we thought this was the perfect time. We head out on May 22 and we are so lucky to have both my mom and Dan's parents to watch the kiddos. Here's a link to the place we are going.

Ok, so I love trying new restaurants. I used to always do that when I lived the single life and now that I'm in the burbs the food is definitely limited. So, for my birthday Lynn and Kara took me to try this yummy place. You've got to try it if you are ever in the area. It's located close to where Dan and I used to live near the Heights. The food is different and unique and really really good!! I can't wait to go back.

Kara's House

Saturday we all had a great time at Kara house. We don't have any motorized vehicles at my house, nor do we have a trampoline so this was extra fun for the girls... Kara thinks we should get some of these vehicles but I almost think it would be a nightmare for me. Trying to referee who gets to ride which one and when... uggghhhh!!!! My only option at this point would be to get them each one that looks exactly alike... and I don't think I can justify the money on that one! Kara, do you think you could move a bit closer? Ha!
